Accountant | Mother | Leader | Teacher
Hi! I'm Kristen and I am the owner of Practical Financials! I have a passion for serving others through numbers, which is why we are here. The idea of this company was born out of volunteer tax preparation as a freshman in high school. Then I received a Bachelor’s in Business with minors in Leadership Development and Communication Studies and a Master’s in Public Administration from LSU, an Associate’s in Accounting from Delgado Community College, and a Post Bacch Certificate in Accounting from LSU of Alexandria! I am a CPA Candidate and recently became admitted to Tulane University to pursue a Master’s in Accounting.
As I have grown my education, I have also grown my business transitioning from volunteer to business owner. I love helping other business owners achieve their financial goals and organize their finances. I believe my clients have enough on their hands running their day-to-day operations, and we are here to lighten the load by offering bookkeeping, tax preparation, and other financial services.
I lead and teach by example and show others what I have learned along the way. Mentorship is very important to me and closing the gap in the financial literacy framework is one of my personal and professional goals. I want to teach others how to budget, the importance of taxes, and basic financial life skills to start others on a course to be successful!
My greatest achievement has been becoming a mom! Being a mom has brought forth a strength in me I did not know I had and has pushed me even harder to do what I love and give it my all. The more I pour into PracFins, the more I give to my daughter! She is my driving force!
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me, now tell me a little about you and how PracFins can help you achieve your goals!
